BUSS foodstuff extrusion technology

As early as 1947 BUSS supplied a commercial Kneader for the preparation of chocolate doughs, thus innovating the continuous extrusion of foodstuffs. This pioneering spirit is still ongoing, and has resulted in highly acclaimed innovations for continuous processing applications such as soft candy pulling, low-moisture preparation of granulated sugar for cube production, and the compounding of gum base and chewing gum.

At the heart of all these technologies lies the BUSS Kneader, whose unique operating principle ensures very gentle mixing of the shear and temperature- sensitive stock. These advantages are confirmed in the laboratory installations, pilot plants and commercial production lines operated worldwide.
