BUSS independence – Seven questions and seven answers
Why did BUSS leave the Coperion Group? Because with BUSS in the Group, Coperion had a portfolio of two partially competing compounding technologies, both of them with specific advantages. This hindered a uniform corporate identity as well as the Group’s strategic alignment. It was therefore a logical consequence for BUSS to regain independence with the clear objective of focusing on a single technology.
What does this regained independency mean for BUSS customers? BUSS, as an independent company, now has greater freedom of action. This allows faster decision making and a more flexible response to customer needs. The independent status guarantees that BUSS can continue refining its Kneader technology and BUSS customers can continue to count on our many years of process technology know-how.
Can customers still depend on service and maintenance?
Of course. BUSS will fully honour all guarantee and maintenance obligations, whether entered into during Coperion Group membership or even before. For BUSS, comprehensive service with fast response – even years after Kneader purchase – is a key element of customer relations.
Will BUSS continue developing its process knowhow in various niche markets?
Certainly. BUSS will systematically continue its existing niche strategy in the plastics, chemical, aluminium and food industries. BUSS owes its competitive strength to superior process technology in our customers’ various fields of activity. Thanks to an intimate knowledge of their production processes, BUSS can always offer the best engineering solutions to complex compounding problems.
What is the BUSS pricing policy?
BUSS offers superior products and first class service at a fair price. BUSS Kneaders enable higher productivity with excellent reliability and faster product changes for greater utilisation. The result is significantly lower operating costs.
Will BUSS maintain its global presence?
Definitely. BUSS will always be reachable for customers wherever they may be. Our sales and service subsidiaries in Chicago, Singapore, Shanghai and Tokyo remain open for business. BUSS can also count on long-standing agents with years of experience and, wherever necessary, the global network will be further expanded.
